As everything in the world is reminding us, the holiday season is here. Many caterers tend to be closed on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas week, New Years, and other holidays. Because holidays like Thanksgiving tend to have a different date each year, it’s always a good idea to double check your closed days to make sure all the information is up to date. This is a very easy thing to do. From the back of the house, select Unit Management, choose your location, and then click on “Hours”. The Hours page is where you can edit open and close times for each day of the week as well as adding in or editing any closed days.
Closed Days use a mm/dd format and remain in the system until they are changed. Because of this, holidays that fluctuate dates need to have their mm/dd values updated to reflect the current year. You can edit a closed day by clicking the “Closed Days” link for the date you wish to change. Alternatively, if there’s a new holiday you wish to add you can create a new closed day from the Hours page by clicking the “Create” button. See the image below for a better example.
Once your new closed day has been entered and saved, voila, your customers will now be unable to place orders on that day and will instead receive your customized “this store is closed” message!
Please remember that if you have any questions regarding changing Closed Days or anything else, our customer support team is always available.
